2018 Spring Rosary Pilgrimage
Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist hosts an annual fall parish picnic at Cathedral Carmel School next to the church. CDA members hosts and provides sweets for church members.

2020 Spring Rosary Pilgrimage was canceled due to COVID-19 restrictions.
2019 Spring Rosary Pilgrimage
On May 21, 2019, Nine CDA members went on the Rosary Pilgrimage. They visited Academy of the Sacred Heart Main Chapel and St John Berchmans Chapel of the Apparition & Miracle in Grand Coteau, Our Lady of the Angels in Opelousas, Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Opelousas and Immaculate Conception Church in Washington. Holy Ghost Catholic Church is the largest African American Parish in the United States. It will celebrate its 100th Anniversary in 2020!
2019 Fall Rosary Pilgrimage
On October 23, Eight members made the Rosary Pilgrimage to St. Theresa of the Child Jesus in Duson; St. Michael the Archangel in Crowley (see photo on left); St. Anthony of Padua in Eunice; Charlene Richard’s Gravesite in Richard; Our Lady of the Sacred Heart in Church Point, see photo below. Besides learning the histories of the different churches, we were very pleased to be welcomed by FATHER HAMPTON DAVIS in Eunice and FATHER PATRICK BROUSSARD in Church Point. Once again, Mary Broussard planned a wonderful day; she even arranged to have a beautiful day weatherwise!
